Have you ever had scrambled eggs covered in chocolate syrup? If you have—you need some help. Seriously. If you haven't, it's probably because it sounds absolutely repulsive. I know there's the whole salty and sweet thing, but that can only go so far.

But you know what?

Eggs + Chocolate = Seriously Awesome Prank

The next time April Fool's Day coincides with Easter Sunday isn't until 2018, but that doesn't mean you can't have a few hilarious hijinks this Easter. And the best way to do that is by pranking those all glorious chocolate Easter eggs—by putting a real raw egg inside.

Instructables user rocket made the above chocolate prank egg using a raw egg, some melted chocolate, and the foil from a Kinder Surprise. If you don't know what a Kinder Surprise is, let me enlighten you.

The History of the Kinder Surprise

Kinder Surprises are hollowed chocolate shells shaped like an egg that contain small toys hidden inside. Sounds cool, right? However, peeps (get it?), these chocolate goodies have been banned in the United States since 1996 by the FDA due to the potential choking hazard.

Apparently, the FDA doesn't want the "Surprise" to be a little kid choking on a miniature Spider-Man figurine, and I get that.

If you are extremely desperate for a chocolate egg with a toy inside, you can try and find a Choco Treasure. The eggs contain a small piece that separates the toy from the chocolate, that way kids can see there is something inside and not eat the thing whole I guess.

Step 1: Find Your Aluminum Wrapper

For us folks stateside, just go ahead and find some colored aluminum foil to wrap your egg in. You wouldn't be opposed to eating a generic chocolate egg with no logo, right? As long as it came from a credible source, you'd dive in, just like your victim will, with you being a reliable source and all.

You can also try some foil from a Cadbury Creme Egg, and if one foil won't do, two should do the trick, and still look legit.

Step 2: Make Your Nasty Chocolate Egg

Now, the egg-making process is rather simple. Heat up your chocolate and add some butter for a smoother finish. Then dip your egg into the chocolate mix.

If you want a smoother, more legit-looking prank egg than rocket's version, you'll want to dip and shake off the excess chocolate, then repeat this until you have a nice thick coat, but then you'll still probably have some bulging somewhere, especially when you set it down.

Perfecting the Smooth Chocolate Look

For a more perfect look, you can try getting some jumbo-sized plastic eggs, like below. Before placing the raw egg in there, drill a tiny hole to pour the chocolate in. Then, place the egg in, secure it, pour the chocolate (make sure it's not too hot) inside, and there you go.

It might take a few tries to get chocolate all of the way around. If you've got the money, maybe a chocolate fountain is more up your alley.

Step 3: Cover Your Chocolate Egg in Foil

Now, cover your egg in foil and give it to an unsuspecting chocolate fiend. Just try not to smile and stare too much.

Making It Safer (& Potentially Grosser)

If you don't want your friends to eat any egg shells, you can try turning the egg into a translucent bouncing egg using vinegar first, before adding the chocolate. Plus, that vinegar taste will make it all the better.

Preferably, this prank is best served to an adult, or at least a teenager. C'mon. Would you really give this to your five-year-old niece?

Well, if you would, and if you're not much for the kitchen, maybe you should just get the plastic Easter eggs and transfer the insides of the raw egg over to them, then let the kids find them during their traditional Easter egg hunt.

If you want a good prank, but don't want the mess, a hard-boiled egg will also work for this, though, a golden egg is even better.
